I love my class.
They are so the best!
Today was a great Valentine's Party!
We graphed Valentine's treats from my unit,
We graphed a different way this time.
I passed out all the treats that the parents donated.
I gave random handfuls. Nobody got the same amount of everything, and if you whined, you got reminded that, "You get what you get & you don't throw a fit!"
Then, each kid graphed their own set of treats.
Each and every graph was different!
Typically, we do a BIG graph chart for the whole class, which is what we still did,
BUT, then we graphed individual results on our own little graphs full of treats for the sweets,
After some great graphing, we finished up our writing.
Yes, of course I made them write!
What would a day of friendship be without writing a narrative on,
"Although I Am Little, I Have A BIG Heart"
Which all came from my
Week's Worth Of Work,
Lastly, I had made bookmarks for the kids.
We use Grandma's Grammar, & Poppy & Ma's spiral review math, so these characters were on some of the bookmarks, too!
I also gave them a "little bag of kisses" from, Mrs. Howbert!
We ended the day by playing a game I thought up two seconds before passing out our Valentine's cards.
It was called, "Secret Admirer."
We all became secret admirers, and had to pass out our valentines as quietly as we could, because my head was pounding from the 32 interruptions & 50 questions of when are we passing out valentines, although I had already told them 1200 times we had special deliveries to make.
Praise God.
It worked like a dream.
No one said a peep. They covered their valentines, hid them in their shirts, one stopped to make a panty adjustment through her tights in the rear end department, and left the dress tucked in the tights -but no one noticed, and you could hear a pen drop!!
No one paid any attention to the other.
They were being so secretive...
This is how we ended up today...
Our Valentine Mailboxes were STUFFED!
We didn't open our valentines in class.
They brought their mailboxes home just like this!
Finally, we had a few pieces of our graphing candy & watched a Berenstain Bears movie on kindness & friendship.
It was a beautiful, lovely day!
Happy Valentine's Day, my friends!

It certainly looks like this class had a fabulous day!!!
