I'm linking up with Jen, over at
for her super fun linky,
I really like how Jen chose ONE resolution, because truth be told, making too many never works for me.
One is BEST for BOTH personal & blogging!
My Personal Resolution:
More time for myself.
I know, sounds incredibly selfish, but if you know me, I work constantly, have a family that are at the TOP of my priority list, love my Mr. Packrat (hubby), and of course love teaching, & creating & blogging!
Here's a little glimpse into my day:
get up early
leave while it's still dark out
teach all day (LOVE THIS)
meetings, parents, kids, RTI, you name it, I'm workin' on it
appts. sometimes after school
if no appts., or sometimes it's both -then it's:
soccer, swim, gymnastics,
visit grandmas in care homes
get home when it's dark
homework, home reading
dinner?? oh ya, forgot about that one!
pack lunches, get kids ready for bed & long day for the next day
bedtime for kids
blog time for mommy (unless Housewives are on)
creating time to fit it ALL in
Oh dear! Is THAT the time?? It can't be!
Bed.
Groundhog's day, it starts all over again!
I must say though, I love my life & am very blessed!
My Blogging Resolution:
I really work more than I do spending time reading & leaving comments.
I need to slow down a little, enjoy all the GOOD stuff going on out there, and leave some nice comments.
This includes time on Pinterest, 'cause sometimes this escapes me, too.
Perhaps that's 2 resolutions, but to me, blogging, creating, & pinning are all wrapped up in one!
If you haven't linked up yet, head on over to the fun!!
Happy New Year to You All!!

Dinner?! It is my biggest fail of the day....I DO feed my family, but it is usually one dish meals or a combo of deli/take-out. I need to do better because the kids don't remember my awesome at-home-mommy cooking adventures!
ReplyDeleteI always smile when you leave a comment on my blog. :-)
Happy New Year! ReadWriteSing
Thank you for ALL the kind words, I so appreciate every one of them!
DeleteIt ISN'T selfish...you need to take time for yourself. As a mom and a teacher of 22 years...I can relate to your crazy treadmill life. I am hoping that you take that needed time for yourself in 2013. I am happy to be a new follower!!

Welcome, & your comment means more to me than you know! Big hug to you!
DeleteThose are great resolutions!! I don't even know how teachers with kids do it because already my days are jam-packed and I don't even have children yet!! You definitely deserve more 'you' time!!

Lessons with Laughter
You will learn to juggle...then will want to learn how to balance...smile smile!!
DeleteI second Molly! You teachers who have children just totally ROCK!! I'm always left in awe by how you get it all done while I'm struggling to find the time myself! :)

Teaching Maddeness
You're so sweet, sometimes it's just what you do, and all of us would work hard doing what we love best!
DeleteGreat resolutions! And don't feel guilty about wanting time for yourself, I wanted the same thing when my daughter was small, it's how we recharge. Good luck with all of it and I love your blog name- so cute!
